What is a vegan cake made of?

A vegan cake is made of the same ingredients like a vegetarian one apart from the fact that these do not contain eggs and butter. We believe that in Arapina our vegan cakes are better than any vegetarian ones that exists out there! You get all the joy without the suffering from potential intolerances. We would like to believe that we are inclusive like this.

Can you make vegetarian cakes?

We specialise in vegan and gluten free cakes which we think are the best in the UK! While we are happy to accommodate a vegetarian request this will have to be prepared separately and on occasion.

Do you have vegan cakes that are also soya free?

Yes, all our cakes and bakes are soya free. This is a conscious decision we have taken in changing our  processes as well as the purchasing of our ingredients, making sure that these not only do not contain soya but they are also not cross contaminated. Our cakes and bakes that contain chocolate contain soya lecithin which is a different ingredient to soya and commonly found in chocolate.

Are your decorations also vegan?

Yes, we pay special attention to choosing decorations that are declared vegan and shop from speciality wholesalers with certain accreditations. Therefore, anything that will go on one of our vegan cakes, is fully vegan. We sincerely hope you can appreciate our efforts!

 

Can I have a themed vegan cake for my little one?

Yes, themed cakes are great fun to make, however we have our own way of making them happen! While we are happy to customise the colours of our cakes to match the theme, we ask from all the parents in the UK to help us in our mission to avoid sugar colourful decorations made out of fondant due to the chemical ingredients they contain. For this reason, we request the parents to send us toys of their choice which we will happily place on your cake free of charge! We like to help as much as possible framing a mindset away from hazardous foods.
